About the Department MHC Healthcare (MHC) Behavioral Health Services, providing behavioral health and community services, was developed approximately thirty years ago. Over the last 13 years, the Department has tripled its staff and currently has contracts and/or collaboration agreements with many behavioral health organizations in Tucson, Arizona. Just recently, July 1, 2010, MHC Behavioral Health Services became a Community Service Provider, CSP, with the Community Partnership of Southern Arizona, CPSA. CPSA receives funding from the Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health Services (ADHS/DBHS), Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Behavioral Health Services staff also works closely with adult and juvenile probation to provide court ordered services to probationers and other individuals involved with the court system. MHC Behavioral Health Services also has contracts to provide services to families involved with DES/CPS as well as individuals who have AHCCCS and are needing behavioral health services. Behavioral Health Services staff also provide services to our elderly and disabled clients needing such services as home repair, home healthcare and meals on wheels. Behavioral Health Services differs from other service providers in the community in that it is the only rural health center in the area and the only local agency providing behavioral health and community services to the residents of Marana, Rillito, Picture Rocks, and Avra Valley. NOTE: Due to our recent expansion, Behavioral Health Services now has two licensed facilities. Our main facility is on Sanders Rd. one mile up the road from the main MHC site. Our second licensed site is the 'Hacienda,' the modular in the parking lot of the main MHC clinic.
